The Center Camp Café rises each year as one of the biggest and brightest stars in the Vault of Heaven that is Black Rock City. Located in Center Camp, the Café is the largest temporary freestanding tensile shade structure in the world. With almost an acre of shade, a full-service coffee shop, two stages, and interactive art installations, the Café is one exhibit you won’t want to miss. The fabulously lighted, entertainment-filled structure is a required stop on every evening stroll through the city.

Sheila Darcey is a Filipino artist who grew up in Brisbane, Australia and now lives in Venice, California. Art has always been her first love, but for the last 20 years she has focused her attention on building a career as a digital innovator and business consultant. She has recently returned to her artistic roots and studied the transformation of nature into the subconscious. This process requires leaving any pre-conceived ideas. Instead, focusing only on the creation process. It's a daily exercise that has evolved into meditative practice. Her goal is to introduce this exercise to others in order to experience the state of thought flow and the healing power of creative expression.
